Living legend Paul Simon has a new album out and a tour to support it. And he’ll be bringing said tour to the Central Florida area on December 4th. Specifically, he’ll be performing at UCF Arena.

If you recently saw Paul Simon on the 9/11 tribute, you were just as moved as I when he performed the Simon & Garfunkel classic “The Sound of Silence”:

More information–including purchasing tickets–on Paul Simon’s Central Florida performance can be found on the UCF Arena website.

Have you ever seen Paul Simon perform live before? We’d love to hear about your experience.

BT at Club Firestone

So I’ve been majorly slacking on posting photos from the BT show at Club Firestone a few weeks ago. It’s silly to even say the show was good – actually, it was amazing!  So much better than I was expecting, given the past few times were just “ehh.”

I did my best to take some photos and video of the show. Unfortunately, I was too concerned about dancing and not the quality of the images (the video I attempted to take was even worse), so for that I apologize.

Next time BT makes an appearance here in Central Florida, I highly recommend you see him. Great musician, and powerful music.

Imogen Heap Comes to Orlando

Indie Darling Imogen Heap Performs at House of Blues

klynn and I love, love, love Imogen Heap. We both think she’s one of the most innovative musicians of our time. I “discovered” her many years ago, as one-half of the brilliant duo Frou Frou.

We’ve seen Ms. Heap perform live and it’s really quite a treat. So needless to say we’re super-excited she’s returning to the Central Florida area in a couple of months (Tuesday, June 1st, to be exact). What’s even better is she’s performing at House of Blues, a great venue for an artist like Imogen Heap.

If you’re not familiar with Imogen’s music you’re really missing out. Here are a couple of her outstanding songs:

“First Train Home”:

“Say Goodnight and Go”:

More information on Imogen Heaps show at House of Blues can be found here. You can also Follow her on Twitter for lots of insider information.

FUN FACT: Imogen Heap is a heavy social media user. In fact, so much so she solicited the help of her fans to promote the release of her “Ellipse” album. The official press release was constructed of various 140-character Tweets submitted by her fans.
