Hawkers Asian Streetfare

I.
Love.
Hawkers Asian Street Fare.

And I’m not alone.

It seems more and more I’m discovering fellow fans of the yummy food that can be found at Hawkers.

Open since last year, Hawkers offers something a little different and interesting to Central Floridians. Situated on Mills just a few blocks north of Little Vietnam, Hawkers has both indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy a variety of menu items like noodle soup bowls, stir fry noodles, original creations and more.

During one of my recent visits my dining partner and I chose the following:

Wabi Sabi in Merritt Island

I realize this post isn’t necessarily featured on something in Central Florida, but Merritt Islando/Cocoa is sorta central-ish…right? Anyway, one of my dearest friends lives in this area, and I recently paid her a visit accompanied by a yummy lunch at a tiny place called Wabi Sabi (sorry, couldn’t locate an official website).

Now, I’d actually been here before with the same friend but I recalled it being quite tasty, so I was looking forward to it. Of course, I went with a noodle dish (me thinks it might be time to try something new at places like this!):

Wabi Sabi Everything else on the menu looked really good, and the dishes the rest of my party ordered looked great. While I couldn’t find a website for Wabi Sabi I did find a menu posted online. You can check-it-out here if you’re interested in seeing what sort of dishes are offered. And you can see what folks are saying about this place over on Yelp.

Saffran Orlando

One of my colleagues at work had been raving about this eatery in South Orlando called Saffron. Talk, talk, talkin’ it up, and I’m always one for discovering–or being told about–a new food place here in Central Florida (as we all know), so I had to check it out. Originating in Iceland, the Saffron franchises are rooted in healthier, “cleaner” eating while still being delicious.

SAFFRAN offers healthy, fresh, exotic, international dishes to spice up your body and soul. Our food is made from quality products. All marinades are homemade straight from the heart and free from additives, preservatives and msg.”

The history is really quite interesting – you can read all about it here if you’re interested.

Saffran Orlando

On my visit, I myself opted for a simple chicken dish (one can never eat enough chicken, right?), which was accompanied with rice and red onion. YUM! Officially, the dish is called SAFFRAN CHICKEN AND RED ONION (clever, huh?!). One of my dining mates enjoyed a safflat (Saffron’s version of flatbread), and it looked quite tasty as well. You can get a preview of the entire Saffran menu here.

Looks pretty good, eh?

If you’ve been to Saffran, first of all we’d love to hear about your experience. Second, you should “Like” them on Facebook and connect with others who are Fans. You can also Follow them on Twitter.
