A trip over to the Titusville area several weeks ago resulted in a visit to what is apparently a well-known restaurant. One I’d never actually heard of until said visit. Apparently I was missing out…. I don’t know what else I can say except that I give you Dixie Crossroads.
It is food, of course (you know us here at Pulse). It is seafood. Really, really good seafood. And Dixie Crossroads is known for their rock shrimp. It’s their staple, I’m told. So of course that’s what I ordered. Not famile? Take a look:
I’ll be honest. I wasn’t necessarily a fan of having to rip the shrimp out of the outter shell (I have this tiny little thing about ripping my food out of the home they were put on earth in), but once I did get the little boogers out they tasted darn good.
Once seated at the table, instead of bread Dixie Crossroads brings sugar covered corn to the patron’s table. Really…it needs no words. Seriously….
Yeah, you’re feelin’ me now, right?!
Candidly, the interior dining rooms of the restaurant leave a little to be desired, but this place is really all about the food. There are some cute sights to enjoy outside of the venue like this mural…if you have to wait for a bit for a table.
