Tijuana Flats Coming to College Park

Edited:  Signs are up!  Tijuana Flats slated to open March 29!  WooHoo!

Okay, I may be unreasonably excited about this, but Tijuana Flats is one of my favorite restaurant chains, so stumbling upon this sign hoisted in the old SunTrust location (Smith & Edgewater) was like winning the food lottery.

You know, nearly everyone I know loves Tijuana Flats. I think their food is decent but I’m not all over it.

I bet, though, that this particular location will do really well in College Park!

@Kim By the way, Flats had a booth at the Food and Wine Fest in downtown Orlando this past weekend (http://pulseofcentralflorida.com/2009/11/11/orlando-food-wine-fest/) and I asked when this new location would be open, and the reply was sometime in late January or early February.

Thought you’d be interested in knowing!

They are actually located in the spot that used to be a drycleaners, the bank was across the street at what is now the waverly.

This is the location in College Park. The Waverly is actually in downtown Orlando.

What restaurant are you referring to?
