Her outfit is like a cross between Stevie Nicks and American Apparel!”

I’ve lived near downtown Orlando’s Virgin Olive Market for several months but have only recently had the chance to visit. (NOTE: Not to be confused with The Black Olive.) This neighborhood bistro has charm and character, great food (soups, sandwiches, salads and pastas) and organic beer and wine.
In the mood for something light? Grab a gourmet sandwich, that comes with some delicious pinto beans.
In addition to ordering food and eating in the dining room, this downtown Orlando noshery also offers pastas, wine and more for purchase to take home.
You can also hang out & chill in the “living room” and catch-up with friends – or play video games.
The only real drawback to Virgin Olive Market I’ve noticed thus far is it’s not open for business on Sunday.

One woman to another, at a downtown Orlando bar:
Woman One: “I would totally date you if I were gay.”
Woman Two: “Awww…thanks!”
“I don’t like to do it, but I like to watch.”
(Location: Building in downtown Orlando.)
If you’ve been out and about in Downtown Orlando, there’s no doubt you’ve seen your share of Rickshaws. But now you can leave the car at home and give those bike taxis a break.
O-Cartz are pretty much oversized golf carts that seat up to six passengers, and even better than a standard pedicab, O-Cartz are covered … an essential feature for rainy nights in O-Town.
Check out the coverage map for Downtown:

Rates for an O-Cartz ride are $4. For more info, check out their Web site or follow them on Twitter: @ocartz.
It’s been years-and-years since I’ve visited the Startdust Video and Coffee place near Winter Park and Baldwin Park (I know, blasphemy!). Actually, last time I was there it was primarily a video place/bar. But this morning I had a meeting at Stardust, and I think I might’ve found myself a new hangout.
First of all, let me say Stardust is not the most hoppin’ place early on a Saturday morning (see photos in the bottom of this post). I’m sure it picks-up a little mid-to-late morning. But it’s quaint, intimate atmosphere went exceptionally well with my jasmine green tea.
Here’s what you can expect when you step through the front doors of Startdust Video and Coffee (hopefully with more folks):
In addition to coffee & tea, Stardust offers:
If you’ve never been to Stardust or it’s been quite some time, I would highly recommend going very soon!
Ever seen one of these little guys driving around the Central Florida area?
I was over in the SeaWorld area earlier today, and took this picture. If you ever end-up passing one of these, give ‘em a honk and a big wave!
