@Colleen Like I said, there are definite areas to stay away from, but I've felt pretty safe in this city for the past 10 years. You just gotta know where to go, and where NOT to go.

I’ve been to NYC a handful of times and my mom had her purse stolen on one of those trips. I’ve been to Orlando HUNDREDS of times and have never been the victim of a crime there.

@corrin Hmmm…interesting. I’d be curious, too, to know if the tourism aspect has anything to do with it. Good point.

@Mark Baratelli Just turn on any of the evening news programs, and it won't be surprising. I can almost bet, too, that they'll all be related to the MetroWest area.

I’ve always thought Nashville was a little skeevy. I figure Las Vegas and Orlando are on the list because they are tourist destinations? Stay safe!

885 incidents per 100,000 people in Orlando. That sounds so high to me. Thank God we have the fabulous Orlando police department to protect us.
