It doesn’t matter who you are…
…you are not getting in!

Food. Love. Music.
Three of my favorite words. Seriously. I love them all! So needless to say I’m excited about this new place.
Last month I published a post about the closing of Zinc Bar in downtown Orlando. I had no idea what might be replacing it until user @Sulli left a comment in the post, saying the new club is called Senso. Apparently I should’ve already known that info; @Sulli offered to fill-us-in but I haven’t heard back. But that’s OK because I was able to find some information on my own.
SensoSupperclub.com is live and the venue is quickly changing. It seems as though the grand opening is a bit delayed, though, since their website says they’re opening on December 8th. According to both the site and a flyer I picked-up, there’s a plethora of DJs scheduled to apprear throughout the month. I hope the venue opens its doors soon! In the meantime, you can have updates e-mailed to you by signing-up for Senso’s newsletter — just scroll down to the bottom of the website’s homepage.

UPDATE 12/28:
Well, it would seem if these guys are already open, they’re not all that stressed about good customer service. I sent an e-mail to the contact on their site well over a week ago, and still no response.
Did you know that you can get CDs, DVDs and the latest best-sellers … for free??
There are a ton of downloading options available online, but what if you’d prefer to stay legal? You can do that by heading over to your local Public Library.
A friend recently turned me on to this revelation. During his latest trips, he borrowed copies of Tokyo Police Club, Radiohead, Oasis and more!
The library also keeps DVDs of new releases, classics and even your favorite TV shows. Unbelievably, you can keep these rentals for up to 7 days!! Bye-bye, Blockbuster!
If you’re an Orange County resident, head on over to the library’s Web site to get your library card or visit one of the county’s fifteen locations.
“Marilyn, Marilyn, over here!” (Me thinks she looks better on the silver screen!)

The bars, clubs, and restaurants on Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando are getting a new neighbor: Club 1. There’s not much information available on Club 1. In fact, a Google search doesn’t even produce results for their own website, ClubOneOrlando.com.
So if anyone has any information about this new downtown Orlando venue, please share (I’m thinking about calling the number listed below)! In the meantime, stay tuned here and we’ll post more as we get it.

I first saw Marc Broussard back in 2003 at House of Blues here in Orlando. It was a year after his debut album was released. To me, he was a relative unknown. The ticket was $8 and he, along with Read More…
Revisiting a post klynn published about three months ago, I was wondering just how much gas prices at your neighborhood gas station have dropped. Earlier today I saw regular unleaded offered for $1.68 (regular unleaded) at the Hess station on Fairbanks (just off of I-4).

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing prices fall even more, but would love to know exactly where in Central Florida I can buy the cheapest gas.
I was near the downtown Orlando area yesterday afternoon and drove past some “graffiti artwork” I’ve noticed several times. I decided to stop and take some pictures, to share with our readers. You probably see stuff like this all the time but don’t even really realize it or think about it; I didn’t notice the artwork on the side of the Sam Flax on Colonial Drive for a long time.
Any idea where these are? I really like the artist’s self-promotion (MySpace address and phone number); you can find him at MySpace.com/ricgraffiti if you want to learn more.
For years-and-years we here in Central Florida have had a couple of identities. We’ve passively let ourselves be referred to as “O-Town,” which I’ve personally always thought to be fairly unoriginal. That, plus there’s this:

And this is most certainly not the “city beautiful,” yet it’s what we seem to be most well-known for these days:
So I’m making it the mission of “Pulse of Central Florida” to come-up with Central Florida’s newest nickname. No more “O-Town.” No more “The City Beautiful.” Let’s think of something creative and catchy, that the rest of the world will catch-on to.
Any ideas? Share them with us by leaving a comment in this post.
…well, nobody! Can you believe not a single person submitted their tacky holiday sweater in our contest? I thought for certain we’d get a few. Oh well…that’s just an extra $25 in my pocket for holiday shopping!
