Okay, so maybe it’s no secret to Maitland-ites, but Lake Lily gives Lake Eola a run for its money in the parks department.
This beautifully landscaped park is less than 5 miles from my office and I’ve driven by hundreds if not thousands of times. What’s strange? I’ve never stopped.
So today I decided to enjoy the unbelievable Central Florida weather and spend my lunch hour outdoors—Lake Lily was a logical choice.
I think these pictures (taken from my cell phone, by the way) say it all. Even taken from a crappy cell phone camera, the scenery is gorgeous.

I’m so glad you posted about this. I’ve driven by this park many times and have always wanted to hang out there, but never have. I just may have to now.

People from Maitland are properly known as Maitlanders. And you’re right, its a wonder park.
